Headley Down
The course was short, only 1 1/5 minutes long. It started
going down some flat single track with lots of stumps and
started to wind down the hill making a fast section in a
fairly straight line with a few more scattered stumps.
A bus stop which was to tight
to keep any speed through and slightly up hill to the
right then another bus stop with a very tight exit down a
little drop and up again round a tree and down to the
finish.
It pissed with rain all day, the third run was cancelled
there were no marshals, Muppets on the course who
shouldn't be riding cross country (lying on the ground in
the middle of the course, for fun) let alone downhill and
all this for £18, needless to say I wont be doing a Pedalhounds event again. Shame.
Worst crash of the day; this
could either go to Sharpy who battered himself in
practice to the extent of not wanting to race.
This could
also for the second race running go to Craig as he
managed to knock his back wheel out of his drop outs
failing to complete the second run.
Admin nightmare, this
should probably go to the organisers, but they are not
part of this event so it would have to go to Sal for
breaking the brake lever he replaced from the last race whilst
getting his bike out of the van.
Repairs,
this would have to go to Craig as he managed to pinch
puncture a £10 DH tube, or Sal and his broken lever (again).
