Body armour as the name suggests protects the body. The Dianese armour above is made of a Lycra type mesh that stretches to fit the body the protection is supplied by plastic “cups” on the shoulders, elbows and forearms, this is underlaid by contoured padding.

The back has a plastic articulated shell that runs the length of the spine secured by a elasticated waist belt that also protects the kidneys. On the downside body armour is expensive and can cause excessive sweating. Safety first, and it makes you look well ‘ard.
