Short Course Downhill
Donhead Win Green, near Shaftsbury Wilts. The race was originally run by a local club Dorset rough riders. It's now a SAMS event.
It's a short course, open at the top, basically a sprint down a field. Wooded tight and twisty in the mid-section. With an open sprint to finish.
It's not a nerves of steel course by any means, but it is quite technical in a slippy corners kind of a way.
It was my first race and just about everybody else's from around these parts it seems. It's a perfect beginners course, but also still fun enough to get the occasional visit.
